Barry Rose (FRICS)

Barry was made a Partner of Fanshawe in 1998 and then Managing Partner in 2007. Having spent some time at another consultancy, Barry joined Fanshawe in 1989 and has gained considerable knowledge and experience. Barry is a highly skilled surveyor and manager with experience covering all aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy for major educational, commercial and institutional clients. Through his highly commercial approach, integrity and reputation Barry commands the trust and respect of clients, consultants and contractors.


Rupert Symmons (FRICS)

Rupert Symmons heads up the Fanshawe Project Management section. The Project Management teams significant areas of business include Culture and Heritage, Education, Local Authorities and Leisure. Rupert’s particular expertise is the management of complex restoration, conservation and refurbishment projects. Rupert is currently advising a range of clients and private trusts including Chatsworth House Trust, the Sir John Soane’s Museum and the London Borough of Hackney.

Initially a Quantity Surveyor, Rupert moved in to the field of Project Management in 1994, having completed four years on secondment with BAA at Heathrow as a Commercial Manager responsible for a number of significant civil engineering and construction projects as well as the development of several framework agreements and world-class project process initiatives. In 1998, Rupert re-joined Fanshawe as an Associate and was made a Partner in 2002.


Darryl Trott (MRICS)

Darryl joined Fanshawe in 1992 and having obtained a BSc in Quantity Surveying in 1997 subsequently qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1998. Darryl has extensive all round experience in cost consultancy and particular specialist expertise in cost management on commercial and fit out projects for blue chip clients in and around London. He has successfully grown this sector for the practice and became a Partner in 2004.



Martin Norburn (MRICS)

After having worked at two other consultancy practices, including a secondment to a large M&E Services Contractor, Martin joined the company in 1999 and progressed to Associate in 2006. He heads up the small team which is solely dedicated to carrying out the building services quantity surveying within the practice.  Martin also provides building services quantity surveying expertise to Contractors and Consultants who lack the necessary expertise.


Dean Ferdinandi (MRICS)

Dean joined the company in 2013 and was appointed as an Associate in 2015. Dean specialises in High End Residential and Historic Buildings but with a firm grounding in all areas of surveying.
