No. 1 Museum, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew

The No. 1 Museum had become badly dilapidated after its removal from use as a museum due to inadequate fire escape and protection.
A Heritage Lottery Fund application was successfully made and the building has been fully repaired and conserved, including the sensitive addition of new staircase and lift structures.
Work also included extensive repairs to the external stucco and brickwork. The project received a civic trust commendation.
